You will be picked up from your Nairobi hotel, airport, or designated location at 6:30 AM and begin the scenic drive toward Mount Longonot National Park, located approximately 75 kilometers northwest of Nairobi.
Along the way, enjoy a short stop at the Great Rift Valley viewpoint where you can admire the panoramic scenery and take memorable photographs.
Upon arrival at Mount Longonot National Park, complete park entry formalities before beginning your hike.
The trek starts with a steady 3-kilometer climb to the crater rim followed by a challenging yet rewarding 7-kilometer walk around the crater.
The full hiking experience takes approximately 3 to 6 hours depending on your pace and fitness level.
The highest point, known as Kilele Ngamia, stands at 2,780 meters above sea level and offers spectacular views across the Rift Valley.
After the hike, proceed to Lake Naivasha where you may enjoy an optional boat ride to explore the lake’s birdlife and view schools of hippos.
