Day 1
Nairobi – Mount Kenya – Nairobi
Your driver will pick you up from your hotel in Nairobi at 6:30 AM and begin the scenic drive toward Nanyuki town, located at the base of Mount Kenya.
The drive takes approximately 3 hours through central Kenya’s beautiful countryside and farming communities.
From Nanyuki, continue with another 40-minute drive to Sirimon Gate where you will complete Kenya Wildlife Service (KWS) entry formalities before beginning your guided hike.
The 9-kilometer trek to Old Moses Camp takes you through bamboo forests, indigenous woodland, and alpine landscapes.
Along the way, you may spot colobus monkeys, unique mountain bird species, and enjoy incredible scenery.
At Old Moses Camp, enjoy panoramic views of Mount Kenya’s famous peaks, Batian and Nelion, perfect for photography.
At approximately 3:00 PM, descend back to Sirimon Gate and begin your return drive to Nairobi, arriving in the evening.
